Purchasing Background in EPC Projects Contracting Co.
Strong Negotiation Skills.
Good English communication (Written/Oral)
Arabic speaking will be added advantage
Desirable Skills: SAP, MS Office, Outlook etc.
Job Description:
- Need Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering having experience in EPC business vertical.
- Should be good at preparation of Procurement plan and following up for related activities like Design, Engineering, Site survey, Manufacturing, Inspection, FAT.
- Should have good exposure in procurement of Electrical products required for Energy sector like Switchgear/Control and Protection Relays/Panels, Cables and auxiliaries like crane, Fire Fighting Equipments, HVAC and Earthing System. Also need very good handle on mechanical items like Pipes/fittings/valves, Safety products, Equipments required for projects and IT products for company.
- Should have sound knowledge of various services required and sequential activities like 3rd Party Inspection services, NDT, Erection, Installation, Testing and commissioning.
- Should have good knowledge of INCOTERMS, market conditions on prices of commodities, commercial terms of operations. Strong Negotiations skills to achieve win-win situation for both Organization and Vendor.
- Need sound technical knowledge of terms and conditions for items and services involved and Procurement cycle from PR to PO to GRN/Service Entry Sheet to Invoice and Payment to Vendors.
- Should have knowledge about improvement the cash flow and good knowledge about the financial statements etc
- Should be conversant with all standard terms and conditions of procurement & terminologies involved. Should have very good knowledge and experience in LC formalities, Import documentation and Import consignment clearance procedures and related freight & logistics.
- Should be able to Support estimation dept by getting offers during bidding stage of project
- Read and understand Drawings, BOQ and PRs terms to send RFQ to related vendors. Need to prepare techno-commercial comparative statement.
- Strong negotiation skills to get best possible terms and prices from vendors.
- Upon approval of Procurement proposal, create PO in ERP system with all terms and conditions in line with the contract from client.
- Follow up with the vendor's manufacturing plant for timely deliveries as per agreed milestones.
- Coordinate with vendor, Design consultant, 3rd party inspection agency for FAT and with project engineer for project/site related activities.
- Coordinate with various internal agencies like QC for inspection, Warehouse for Inventory Management and Finance for Letter of credit, vendor invoices/ payments and Vendor Evaluation.
- Risk management in case of any damage/breakage/shortage/returns/rejections etc.
- Maintain cordial relation with vendors for longer benefit of organization through good communications to constantly raising bar for excellence in delivery to end customers and internal customers.
- Strong communication skills and proactive team leader/player.
- Good interpersonal skills to lead and take the team ahead on path of achieving Purchasing targets.
- Prepare departmental MIS reports for engaging top management into guidance on the long term objectives of dept vis-à-vis achievements and corrections needed.
- Never die attitude is a must and should be willing to go extra mile to make sure delivery of materials/services is done by hook or crook within company guidelines
